Today's QOTD has over 400 replies, so I tried it in the new Kinja.
It's unreadable.

Comments are not attached to original replies...WTF?

Pics are often so big, there are only 2 on my screen at a time - it took so long, I never actually finished scrolling through them all.

Which explains why I got only two "recommends" for my Renault-Alpine-is-a-911 suggestion.

Because that can be the ONLY explanation.

;)

I'm still in the old Kinja because of this. It's really terrible.

Resistance if futile. You will be assimilated.

I know. I tried the new Kinja last week for a half day and couldn't take anymore. I really don't understand it.

Even on old Kinja, I couldn't get to notifications over 140 or so without it crashing. :o(

I like a lot of what they've done, but the comment system is inscrutable. Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with it.

Maybe they'll tweak it for us. I remember that they changed old Kinja's commenting format from the way it was at first when you had to read comments horizontally.

Time for a new computer? (Or maybe just more RAM)

I've never had a problem either at work or at home except for the io9 Friday gif parties... pretty sure I would need an 8 core machine with at least 16 GB of RAM to handle that madness.

Kinja'd!!!

There was a GIF party? Bloody hell, I missed it. * sighs * So much for having hundreds of homemade GIFs.

I dunno—it just got lost in the notifications. Pages load until they don't. Weird. Each page seems to recall a new set of notifications (start at [#] is in the address), though, so i don't think it's a RAM issue on my end.
